The Home Glide Extra offers a simple and practical solution for those who find it difficult to negotiate stairs in their home. It is an ideal choice for the home as it was also winner of the Rehacare Design Awards 2008/2009 for the innovation in stairlift design.
The Home Glide Extra has four adjustable seat heights so it has been designed and built with comfort and practically in mind. Simple to use, it comes with a powered swivel seat as an optional extra, which is perfect for those who find it harder to use a manual swivel seat. The powered swivel seat turns the seat automatically to ensure easier mounting and dismounting at the top or bottom of the stairs. It also benefits from a low footrest height of four inches, to make getting in and out of the chair as easy as possible.
Some of the fantastic features that the Home Glide Extra provides include a linked footrest, which folds the footrest up automatically with the seat. This means that the home user does not have to bend down to fold the footrest up manually. Sturdy and secure, the Home Glide Extra allows additional weight capacity of up to 23 stone at a maximum angle of 45 degrees. It offers greater comfort and security as it comes with curved armed rests, which curve around the front of the body during movement.
The Extra offers six upholstery colours to choose from including brown, grey, red, green, blue or cream (which is the standard colour).
